Emotional Freedom Technique is a branch of Energy Psychology that combines elements of Chinese Acupressure and Modern Psychology. Although EFT is relatively new, its healing principles are 5000 years old. As with other forms of healing such as Acupuncture, Shiatzu Massage and Reflexology, EFT is based in the idea of energy meridians in the body. Tapping with the fingertips on some points located along these meridians, together with significant verbal cues, rebalances the body’s energy system. EFT enables the release of beliefs that act as barriers. Some of the most common are doubts and uncertainty about making important decisions, worry about financial insecurity, fear of public speaking, and sometimes just a general lack of clarity about one's direction in life. It is not necessary with EFT to take a long case history or to reveal specific details of past trauma. During the EFT session I will guide you through the tapping while reflecting back your words, which will be based on the current issue you are facing. The process of tapping stimulates the neural pathways that contain the information we need to access and transform in order for you to think and act differently and therefore to achieve your goals! Many people I have treated with EFT had previously seen a traditional counsellor/therapist. However, It has only been through the EFT that they have experienced a real change and because EFT is a highly transformational tool, I am able to facilitate this lasting change in a few sessions.
