Mindfulness & Compassion weekend course for Healthcare Professionals
A wealth of surveys reveal high levels of stress and burnout in the healthcare profession. Many suffer from excessive working hours, sleep deprivation and repeated exposure to emotionally charged situations which lead to conflicts at work and at home, and eventually to burnout. Learning mindfulness skills alleviates the suffering of those who are helping others.
This course is recommended by NICE (National Institute for Clinical Excellence) and The Mental Health Foundation for the treatment of anxiety, depression and work related stress.
Sessions are built on the Mindfulness based stress reduction courses developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn and the Mindfulness based Cognitive Therapy created by Zindel Segal, Mark Williams and John Teasdale.
The location is Haverhill, a town 14 miles from Cambridge. Accommodation in a B&B is available for those that come from afar. The content of the course is the same as the one run in 8 sessions.
Fees: £ 195 included meditations and course book.
This course is a CPD Office accredited course.
