This course will introduce you to the key practices and teachings related to mindfulness and meditation.
The aim of the course is to help you to develop a foundational understanding of what mindfulness is, and to develop a regular practice of your own so that you can take the teachings into your home and work life.

Meditation days are a good introduction for beginners and can also help to sustain and deepen an existing personal practice.
It is a day of calm, self-care and rest. You will be asked to refrain from using mobile phones and devices for the whole duration of the retreat.
The day will be spent alternating sitting and walking guided meditations, teachings and short periods of silence. East Town Park is a perfect location for a mindfulness day and the Centre has a kitchen we may use for coffee and tea breaks. You are advised to bring a yoga mat, a blanket and a light lunch . We will sit at the table and eat together in silence as part of the retreat experience. There will be a vegetarian dish to share.
